Chris Morris SBA.jpgChris Morris is from Kanawha County and was appointed to the School Building Authority in June 2014 by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. Mr. Morris was reappointed to a term ending July 31, 2024.

Chris is the Vice President of Business Development and External Affairs for Citynet. Prior to serving in this capacity, he held numerous positions in both the public and private sectors, including three years as the West Virginia State Tax Commissioner for Governor Joe Manchin, III. Chris has been active on numerous boards and commissions serving as chairman of the West Virginian Municipal Bond Commission, the Governor’s Disaster Recovery Board, the Governor’s Tax Modernization Study, and the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, West Virginia Region. He has also served as the Vice President of the Southeastern Tax Administrators, the Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors for the West Virginia Economic Development Authority, the Board of Trustees for the Federation of Tax Administrators, the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Huntington Area Development Council Board of Directors, and the Charleston Building Commission. 

Chris completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Virginia University and resides in Charleston with his wife Renee and their three daughters.
