Kenny Mann.jpgKenny W. Mann is a lifelong resident of Monroe County and was appointed to the School Building Authority in March of 2021 by Governor Jim Justice. Kenny is the owner and Licensee-in-Charge of Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV. He is a former member of the Monroe County Board of Education. He also has served on the Peterstown Middle School and the Monroe County Technical Center’s LSIC Committees. He is a former member of the West Virginia State Senate. While in the Senate, Kenny served on several committees, and was Chairman of the Senate Education Committee and Vice Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. In 2017, Governor Jim Justice appointed him to the Southern Regional Education Board Legislative Advisory Council, and in 2018, Governor Jim Justice appointed him to the West Virginia Blue Ribbon Commission on Four-Year Higher Education. Kenny has always seen the importance of education. He often says, “Education is the solid foundation for success in one’s life, always educate yourself.”


Kenny is a 2000 graduate of James Monroe High School in Monroe County. He furthered his education at Concord University in Athens, WV, earning a bachelor’s degree in business. He then earned his associate degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He holds funeral director and embalmer licenses in West Virginia and Virginia.


Kenny and his wife Angie (who serves as the Principal of James Monroe High School), along with their six children, Brooklynn, Brianna, Hannah B., Hannah G., Haleigh, and Emmett reside on the family farm in beautiful Greenville, WV.
