Hire a Clerk-of-the-Works

​A Clerk-of-the-Works is required by SBA policy to be the Owner's "eyes and ears" on the project. Duties and Responsibilities for the Clerk-of-the-Works are outlined in Section 303 of the SBA's Policy & Procedures Handbook. Below are links to a sample advertisement for these services. The SBA and County must review and approve the qualifications of all clerks being considered for your project. A sample contract and the SBA's Construction Observation Report (SBA 303) is also included below.
