SandraHamilton.JPGSandra Hamilton is a lifelong resident of Berkeley County, West Virginia. She was appointed to the School Building Authority by Governor Jim Justice on November 1, 2018, and was reappointed to a new term ending July 31, 2025.

Ms. Hamilton recently served as the Executive Director of the Berkeley County Development Authority. She is a former employee of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, State Tax Department, Department of Employment Security, and Workforce West Virginia, and the Potomac Edison and Citi Group.

Ms. Hamilton is the Chair of the Business Education Partnership of Berkeley County Schools. In addition, she is a member of the Martinsburg Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors, Workforce Development Committee, Women's Network, and Government Affairs and Transportation Committee. She is also a member of the following organizations: Martinsburg Rotary Club and its Board of Directors, the Local School Improvement Council at James Rumsey Technical Institute and Simulated Workplace Inspector, Telamon Community Action Board, the Board of Directors for the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority, the Board of Directors for Horizon Goodwill Industries, the Eastern Panhandle Transportation Authority Board, the Board of Directors for Region 9, member and Vice-Chair of the Farmland Protection Board, Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Banquet Committee, Main Street Martinsburg, WestPEP, and the Eastern Panhandle Homebuilders Association.


Ms. Hamilton is a graduate of Musselman High School and Shepherd University. She holds a West Virginia Real Estate License in an inactive status. She is involved with New Life Community Church in Tabler Station and is the mother of three children and seven grandchildren. She is also a certified Toastmaster (CTM).
